On November 5th, voters elected Derek Brown Utah’s 22nd Attorney General.
This transition will spend the following 60 days ensuring that Attorney General-elect Brown is prepared to take office on January 6, 2025.

John Dougall, Co-Chair
John Dougall has served as Utah State Auditor since January, 2013. Prior to becoming State Auditor, Mr. Dougall served 10 years as a member of the Utah House of Representatives, ultimately serving as the House Vice Chair of Executive Appropriations. He served in various leadership positions, including the chair of the House Revenue & Taxation standing committee, chair of the House Ethics standing committee, and the co-chair of the Health & Human Services Appropriations subcommittee. Mr. Dougall received his Master of Business Administration degree from Brigham Young University in 2000. He also has a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, both from Brigham Young University.

Tyler Green, Co-Chair
Tyler Green is a partner at Consovoy McCarthy PLLC. He joined the firm after serving as Utah Solicitor General from 2015-2020. In that capacity, he supervised the civil and criminal appellate divisions and the constitutional defense and special litigation division at the Utah Attorney General’s Office. Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, he worked at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Litigation Center and at Gibson Dunn LLP in Washington, D.C. He served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Paul Cassell, Judge Michael McConnell, and Justice Clarence Thomas. He graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

Greg Skordas, Co-Chair
Greg Skordas is a shareholder in the firm of Skordas & Caston, LLC. Greg is the former Chief Deputy Salt Lake County Attorney, where he worked as a prosecutor from 1987 until 1995. Prior to his employment at the Salt Lake County Attorney's Office, he worked for the Salt Lake Legal Defender's Association. Greg is a past President of the Salt Lake County Bar Association and Criminal Law Section of the Utah State Bar. He has served on the Utah Commission on Criminal & Juvenile Justice, the Utah Sexual Violence Council, and the Boards of the Children's Justice Center at the Utah Law Related Education Project, as well as serving as attorney for the Board of the Rape Recovery Center.
